Tested.gg accounts use Google or Steam sign-in. This article explains how signing in works and how your account earns credibility over time.
Signing in
You sign in with your Google or Steam account. We use it to create your profile and keep you signed in. We access basic public profile data only - your display name, avatar, and (with Google) your email address. Because you sign in through Google or Steam, there is no separate Tested.gg password to set, store, or lose. Your email is never shown publicly.
How your account builds credibility
Credibility on Tested.gg comes from your track record, not from connecting outside accounts. As you post approved, helpful reviews, your account moves from New to Regular and then Trusted, and Trusted reviewers carry a badge on their profile. See Creating your account for how trust levels work.
Managing your account
You can update your display name and avatar, and manage your notification and cookie preferences, in your account settings at any time.
