Yes. Verified status is not permanent. A site can lose its badge if conditions change after the original review.
Conditions that can trigger removal
| Condition | What it means |
|---|---|
| Confirmed safety concerns | Credible, verified reports of harm to users that our review confirms |
| Reduced protections | Core safeguards (such as two-factor authentication or buyer protection) are removed or stop working |
| No longer operating as described | The site changes its service, ownership, or availability in a way that breaks the original review |
| Sustained Trust Score decline | A long, consistent drop in the score (not a single bad day) |
How removal works
When one of these conditions is flagged, our team re-reviews the site. If the concern is confirmed and not resolved, the badge is removed. Badge removal is visible to users right away - the listing updates to show its unverified state. Past reviews and the Trust Score are unaffected; only the Verified badge changes.
Re-earning the badge
A site that loses verification can be reviewed again later. The full review process starts over - there are no shortcuts for previously verified sites. If you are a site owner and believe your site should be re-reviewed, reach out through our Contact page.
